Buzzwords: group the corporate nonsense

Buzzwords is a daily word-grouping puzzle with a corporate satire theme. You get sixteen phrases — say, “You’re on mute”, “Per my last email”, “Synergy” — and have to find the four hidden groups of four that share a theme. It plays like the connections-style group puzzles you may know, but every square is a phrase you have heard in a meeting.

A new puzzle is generated at midnight UTC and it is identical for everyone that day — the office can compare notes at the watercooler without anyone having an unfair puzzle. The puzzle is computed from the date in your own browser; there is no server involved.

You get four mistakes, and “one away” means three of your four picks already belong together. Hitting Group with a correct four locks it in. There is also a Practice button that deals a random past-style puzzle — practice runs are not recorded in your streak.

Hit Copy result after playing: you get an emoji grid showing which groups you found and how many mistakes you made — never the words themselves. Paste it in the group chat and let everyone else suffer.
